Disease management in orchards

Now easier to send Vic apples & pears to WA

An operational procedure: Drench or Immersion Treatment for Quarantine (PS-40) written by the WA Government stated that only certain chemicals could be used by Victorian apple and pear growers wishing to send produce to WA.

Ym-Fab Post Harvest Chemicals wrote to the WA Government and the end result is that Ym-Fab Nylate® has been included in the Drench or Immersion Treatment for Quarantine (PS-40).
This ensures that Victorian growers do not have to change their post-harvest washing regime and that they can continue to use Ym-Fab Nylate when sending their apples and pears to WA.
Ym-Fab Nylate is registered as a post-harvest disinfectant with the APVMA for use in all states on all crops.
Ym-Fab Nylate effectively removes harmful pathogens found on the surface of fruit and ensures the wash water used in dips or spray-bars remains free of pathogens responsible for transit rots, storage rots and post-harvest diseases.
Fruit can then be packed or stored according to each individual shed requirements.
Ym-Fab Post Harvest Chemicals have over thirty years experience in post-harvest treatments and in particular cleaning up water used for irrigation and washing fruit and vegetables.
