A.I.M’s lightweight, strong Aussie tripod ladders

A.I.M. Sales designed their lightweight tripod orchard ladders for user comfort and efficiency, and they build them to last.

According to Michael Dalziel from A.I.M. Sales, they were manufacturing a range of citrus ladders and were approached by a local grower to manufacture a number of tripod ladders for a mandarin orchard.
“So we designed our ladders using feedback from growers who were looking for some more robust ladders, that met their specific needs,” Michael said.
“We manufacture our ladders locally to the highest standards using lightweight, strong, high tensile Australian aluminium alloy.
“Materials and workmanship are first class which means growers can expect years of maintenance free service.”
Designed for comfort, strength & safety
The double-rung design of an A.I.M. tripod ladder allows rungs to be a lot stronger, whilst keeping weight down. The rungs are an oval shape, making it more comfortable and easier to move on.
The rungs are serrated to minimise slipping, and the gap between the double-rung design allows dirt or debris to fall through, for added safety.
The base of the ladder is splayed so the bottom two rungs are wider than the others. The wider bottom rungs provide a clear, stable platform and uninterrupted access to the ladder—making it easy and safe to climb onto or to step off.
All A.I.M. ladders have a braced rear leg and one-piece structural alloy ground spikes. Ladders are tested to Australian Standard 1892.1.1966 and have a 180 kg industrial rating.
Built to grower specifications
Michael said A.I.M. also construct ladders to grower specifications.
“We are not limited to providing only our popular ladder heights and widths,” he said.
“We often build ladders to dimensions that suit a grower’s specific needs such as wider or narrower bases or different heights.
Grower comment
Cobram citrus, stonefruit and apple grower, Angelo Diaco recently purchased 30 tripod ladders from A.I.M.
“A.I.M. are well known for their citrus bow ladders so we were delighted to discover that they manufacture a tripod ladder,” Angelo said.
“We were looking for a strong, stable, lightweight tripod ladder but with a narrow base so we could place them in a fruit bin for easy transport around the orchard.
“The A.I.M. ladders certainly deliver—they are built to our specifications, are sturdy and well-constructed.
“All our pickers choose them before any other ladder because they are light, well balanced and comfortable to work on—all of which helps them improve their efficiency.
“We are very happy with these ladders.”
