Bin covers extend shelf life

When it comes to fruit harvesting aids, Harvestwear is a tried and proven brand.

Having been around for over 25 years has taught Harvestwear a lot about the fruit industry.
One thing that Harvestwear has learnt is that uncovered fruit in a bin, left at the end of the row in hot sun, can have a highly detrimental effect on the shelf life of the fruit.
Scientific studies have demonstrated that once the internal temperature of the fruit rises above 25C there is a proportional reduction in how long the fruit will last.
Harvestwear has designed a bin cover which has been proven to even out these temperature fluctuations and maintain the fruit at ambient air temperatures.
During testing, the internal temperature of fruit left in uncovered bins reached extreme levels.
Made of Lightbloc, a technically advanced polyethylene cloth, the bin cover provides insulation from strong summer sunlight, ultraviolet rays and heat.
They easily attach to bins with their elasticised corners and they are available at a standard size of 1200mm x 1200mm. Custom sizes can be made as requested.
