Transtak has developed and refined their orchard ladder over the last 10–15 years.
We set out to produce a ladder that was ‘user-friendly’ compared to the heavy steel ladders previously used.
Various flat steps were trialled for maximum grip and comfort.
A rounded edge and serated-top step incorporating the advantages of the tubular rung and flat step was produced, and became the Transtak Step© now used on all our orchard ladders.
The ladder sides are rounded on the outer corners to fit the hand, and are also ribbed to prevent any cracking during the life of the ladder.
The swinging back leg has nylon bearings and rubber stopper for enhanced use.
These high tensile extrusion ladders are fully welded with structural grade wire to prevent any cracking during the life-time of the ladder.

Lightweight aluminium orchard stools are also available in 1-step, 2-step and 3-step sizes for lower tree and dwarf tree orchard work.
An aluminium drum tipper for tipping 200 litre steel or plastic drums is also part of the range.
A citrus bow-ladder will soon be available.
