Minimise sunburn in orchards

OASIS® technology manages heat & abiotic stress

In temperate regions of the world, wide fluctuations in radiation intensity and temperature have led to significant plant tissue damage.

The most common symptoms appear as physical damage expressed as ‘sunburn’.
These symptoms are caused by slight damage to the plant photosynthetic apparatus, followed by damage to other tissues.

Using Oasis to reduce heat stress and sunburn
Oasis can increase plant vigour, yield and quality.
Under high temperatures, Oasis reduces the temperature of the foliage which reduces the chances of severe stress events from radiative, thermal and water issues.

Reducing stress periods results in higher fruit quality (TSS/Brix) and fruit size, improved fruit colour, fall reduction and, less damage from sunburn.

The best results are obtained from early treatment programs, but Oasis can also help with management of sunburn later in the season.

Application program
Oasis is a product developed for the reduction of thermal and water stress in crops where kaolin clay cannot be used.

It is designed to be applied to fruit where organoleptic quality must remain with excellent presentation of commercial product.

Oasis leaves no residues or deposits on the fruit.

In highly sensitive crops such as cranberries, vines and vegetables, Oasis is the product of choice for stress mitigation and product presentation.

In a primary program, Oasis is used as a primer, based on the recommendations for early control of sunburn. Subsequent applications are made to maintain effectiveness.

Oasis is a vegetable product of organic origin, which acts on the plant metabolism, reducing the effect of stress.

Oasis also contains a naturally occurring compound that acts as biostimulant.

Oasis is an invisible film which is translucent odourless and colourless.

It is important to achieve a good coverage and that sprays are applied uniformly throughout the growing period to reduce susceptibility to stress.

Dose
Fruit trees & vegetables
Unless otherwise specified on the label per crop, Oasis is applied at 250 grams per hectare in 1000 litres of water.

Timing of application
Oasis can be used at any time from planting to harvest.

There are no residues to complicate harvest. If in doubt, refer to the instructions on the label and data sheet.

It is not recommended to reapply soon after heavy rains but to wait until the foliage is dry.
Oasis may be applied through any type of irrigation system, sprinkler, drip etc., however, it is important to ensure uniformity of application.
