Having worked through 13 apple harvests has been the key to the acceptance and use of the proprietary freshness keeping technology, SmartFresh™, according to AgroFresh’s Commercial Manager Nick Sanders.
“As a ‘startup’ business for Australia, by recognising local fruit physiology, Australia’s soil, climatic conditions and storage practices we were able to integrate our new SmartFresh technology to help achieve better product outturns for those businesses we worked with,” Nick said.
“As a proprietary 1-MCP product, the protocols developed for the use of SmartFresh in Australia are only relevant to that product.”
