Cherry conferences 2017

April, May and June are packed with local and international conferences about cherries.

There is something of interest for everyone involved in the cherry industry.
Victorian Cherry Association
The Victorian Cherry Association will be holding their annual cherry conference on 21 April 2017.
This year’s conference will be a one–day event held at the prominent industry orchard and packing house, Koala Cherries (6547 Maroondah Highway, Yarck).
This year’s topic, Understanding variability in fruit set will appeal to many growers and help them understand some of the issues experienced last season.
Fruit Growers Tasmania
Fruit Growers Tasmania will be joining with Apple and Pear Australia Ltd to present the FGT Annual Conference on 25–27 May in northern Tasmania with the theme of Building industry capacity.

26 May: FGT Annual Conference and Awards Dinner at TailRace Centre
27 May: Cherry and berry field trips in northern Tasmania.
International Cherry Symposium
The 8th International Cherry Symposium (Cherry2017) is on June 5–9 2017, in Yamagata City in Japan.
Cherry2017 will provide a good opportunity for scientists, students, growers, and cherry industries to present and share their latest findings and knowledge on cherries.
We hope the symposium will show you the traditional and new styles of cherry production in Japan, and promote the exchange of ideas and international collaboration among people involved in the cherry industry and research worldwide.
